I moved out in July because of domestic violence, I reported to HUD, local housing organization and the receptionist at Tides (Erica)..I let them know I had to move abruptly, the situation and all paperwork from my caseworkers, no one picks up my phone calls, email me back neither have I received my deposit back as well. I did not break my lease because the of the protection of the VAWA act. I left the apartment completely cleaned and ready for move-in. My rent was paid, nothing was due. I do understand a lost of Erica, the front desk employee...so I gave this company weeks to switch over to another management company...there was no update from anyone, I spoke to two people Leticia (I believe that is her name) the manager and the temporary front desk lady after Erica passing...still nothing..i left voicemails, emails and still nothing.I did everything correctly and still do not have received my deposit. This is violation of my lease, I read the specifics terms on my lease. HUD is in the process of starting an investigation.
